Family Home Visiting

The Community Health Board administers regional programs for Maternal and Child Health, including TANF Home Visiting and MIECH V General Coordination, to provide essential support to families across northeastern Minnesota. Through these programs, we empower families to navigate the transition to parenthood with confidence and access to resources.

Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-Visiting (MECSH)

Pronounced like “mesh,” MECSH is a voluntary, no-cost home visiting program that partners families with trained Registered Nurses. It offers support starting during pregnancy and continues through the child’s second birthday.
