Building Public Health Infrastructure
Strengthening Local Capacity and Regional Collaboration
We work collaboratively across the 4-county region on communication projects, data collection and analysis, planning efforts, and supporting the Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan (CHA/CHIP) in ways that best suit each county. Made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Health’s Infrastructure Fund, we’re building a sustainable and replicable system to connect local public health departments and increase the capacity of each for data collection, analysis, and communication.
What We Do
- Work towards alignment and replicability across counties.
- Provide the capacity to collect and analyze data and use it to tell the stories of public health successes.
- Create platforms for sharing resources.
- Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of local public health projects and programs.
- Co-design the 4-county CHA/CHIP.
How We Support Local Public Health
- Advise, assist, and support communications work and public health campaigns.
- Collect and analyze data by creating surveys, facilitating focus groups, and creating data summaries.
- Conduct program and project evaluation.
- Design innovative public health strategies.
- Program planning support and facilitation.
